MARTIN

Martin_edited.jpg

Meet Martin.  Martin was wondering the wooded area of Alabama with his step brother Jordan.  Martin was about 6 months old when he was found and taken to the shelter.  He was very skinny and in need of a bath.  He lived with Jordan for sometime because the two boys were always together and needed each other to live.  Martin was taken in by another rescue in Alabama, Helping Shepherds of Every Color Rescue.  That is where WNM Rescue came into existence.  We agreed to take a large number of dogs but they all got saved and we took these two boys.  In 2 weeks of being up in the Northeast they flourished and had a great time with my other 3 German Shepherd dogs.  Martin's new name is Ruger.  He is doing AWESOME with his new family.  They love him despite his need to chew expensive things.  More pictures will be posted soon.

 JORDAN

This is Jordan.  Jordan was found with Martin wandering around Lake Jordan and Lake Martin in Alabama.  Jordan was around 4 months old when he was found with Martin.  Jordan was the smaller and weaker of the two and he seemed to have a few issues.  He would run in a circle for countless hours, he also seemed to have invisible friends that only showed up when he had cookies.  Jordan was also saved by Helping Shepherds of Every Color Rescue and was sent north to be adopted.

Both dogs stayed with Why Not Me for 2 weeks and had grown so much in that short amount of time.  At the time of their arrival they were glued to each other but in 2 weeks Jordan learned to be more independent and little more demanding.  He stopped running in circles as much unless he got very excited and then he would run in tight circles and Martin learned that barking was a good thing and that he could chew on other dogs without getting beat up.  Both boys needed some muscle tone and they got that by jumping into the bay window and over mommy while she was sleeping on the couch.  LOL  Jordan's new name is Odie.  He is named after a Greek god and he deserves the name.  He now has a new skin sister and brother as well as fur sisters.  He is doing GREAT and the family just LOVES him.

In 2 weeks it was time to say goodbye to them.  They were adopted by 2 wonderful families that love them and spoil them rotten.  Each of them have grown and gained their needed weight.
